INTERVENTION TIME FOR CONTROLLED ASSESSMENTWe used today as an opportunity for those people who are owed some time for the controlled assessments to make up some of this time. Hopefully people made the most of the time - especially if you only have one hour left to complete everything. I will be working very closely with those people who are way below their target grade on the production and hope to see rapid improvements. If there is anything that you can do outside of school to prepare yourself for these extra sessions - such as taking much overdue photographs - then please ensure that it is done.

Cover work for 12th December 2013TASK
Today we looked at applying the narrative theories that we have ben studying to a narrative by using a tension graph to plot the major events and the effect that it has on an audience. Remember that spikes in the graph can often be attributed to key moments in Todorov's Theory of Equilibrium such as the inciting incident or the resolution. Others may coincide with key aspects of Binary Oppositions or Propp's theory of Character Functions. HOME LEARNING Cover Work For 2nd December 2013
Cover Work For 28th November 2013Unfortunately I am not in the lesson today so I have left the work in the blog entry for today. The tasks are quite straight forward and we will spend more time going over PROPP'S ideas. The tasks here are designed to give you a quick overview and an easy way of remembering some of the key information. I expect everyone to finish both tasks and also leave a comment on this blog in response to the plenary questions on the last slide so that I can check your understanding. Failure to complete this will result in coming back at lunch or break tomorrow to complete this work.
