Intervention time for controlled assessmentWe used today as an opportunity for those people who are owed some time for the controlled assessments to make up some of this time. Hopefully people made the most of the time - especially if you only have one hour left to complete everything. I will be working very closely with those people who are way below their target grade on the production and hope to see rapid improvements. If there is anything that you can do outside of school to prepare yourself for these extra sessions - such as taking much overdue photographs - then please ensure that it is done.

Whole lives can be dealt with in the 90 minutes of a feature film, an 8 month siege be encompassed within a 60 minute TV documentary. There are many conventions to denote time passing, from the time/date information typed up on each new scene of CSI to the aeroplane passing over a map of a continent in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Cover Work For Wednesday 4th December* Create a revision tool which covers the three narrative theories that we have covered. Today we looked at applying the narrative theories that we have ben studying to a narrative by using a tension graph to plot the major events and the effect that it has on an audience. Remember that spikes in the graph can often be attributed to key moments in Todorov's Theory of Equilibrium such as the inciting incident or the resolution. Others may coincide with key aspects of Binary Oppositions or Propp's theory of Character Functions. HOME LEARNING
