Controlled Assessment 5 of 6By now all but two of the class have received feedback and guidance on the work that they have completed so far. You should be very proud of the level of detail and thought that is going into this work as we approach the halfway stage. We will have a break from controlled assessments after next session to remind ourselves of the marking criteria that we are trying to achieve marks against and to look at some examples of student work. Remember to respond to the feedback that is being given. The Class Dojo race is a close one this week so keep checking out this blog for opportunities to score some much needed points.
Controlled Assessment 4 of 6Real progress is being made. It was great to come around to people during the lesson today and see the level of detail that is being included in your analytical assignments. Make sure that the point sentences that start every slide are answering the question of the analysis in full using media terminology such as represented, stereotype, counter type, femininity, masculinity, and contain some sense of comparison. This will help focus each slide on what they are meant to be exploring and encourage you to compare the evidence that you use in the slide.
